Data Retention & Deletion Policy
1) Overview
We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described in our Privacy Policy or as required by law. Shorter retention helps reduce risk and storage overhead.
2) Default Retention Windows

3) Plan-Based Customization
Business and Enterprise plans may select shorter or longer retention for event data (e.g., 3, 6, 12, 24 months). Changes apply prospectively and may affect reporting windows.
4) Deletion Timelines
- Upon account closure or verified request, we delete or anonymize personal data not subject to legal holds within 30–60 days.
- Backup copies age out per the backup schedule and are not actively restored except for disaster recovery.
5) Legal/Operational Exceptions
We may retain limited records as necessary to comply with legal obligations, enforce agreements, or resolve disputes. Where retention is extended, access is strictly limited.
6) Export & Portability
Admins can export data via in-product exports/webhooks or by contacting support. We provide reasonable assistance for portability requests initiated by customers.
7) How to Request Deletion
Send requests to privacy@mailopened.com from a verified admin email. We will guide identity verification and scope confirmation.
