Acceptable Use Policy

1) Overview

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) governs how you may use the services and features provided by Mail Opened. It applies to all users and account roles. Violations may result in suspension or termination as described below.

2) Email Tracking Compliance

• You must obtain all legally required consents and provide clear disclosures to recipients regarding tracking pixels and click tracking.
• You must comply with applicable laws and anti-spam rules (e.g., CASL, GDPR/UK GDPR, ePrivacy, CAN-SPAM, CCPA/CPRA) and honor unsubscribe/opt-out mechanisms.
• Do not deploy tracking to services directed to children or process special category data without a lawful basis.
• Respect recipient preference signals and do-not-track where required by law.

3) Prohibited Content & Conduct

• Spam, deceptive, abusive, harassing, or illegal content or activity.
• Malware, phishing, fraud, or attempts to harvest credentials.
• Tracking minors or sensitive categories without explicit legal basis.
• Resale, redistribution, or scraping of Service data beyond permitted APIs and your disclosed purposes.
• Interference with others’ use of the Service, including denial-of-service.

4) System & Network Security

• No probing, scanning, or testing the vulnerability of systems without written authorization.
• No attempts to breach authentication or access controls.
• No reverse engineering or disrupting the Service or underlying infrastructure.
• Report security issues to security@mailopened.com.

5) Fair Use & Resource Limits

We may apply reasonable rate limits, quotas, and anti-abuse measures to ensure stability and fair access for all users.

6) Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations and may suspend or terminate access, remove content, or take legal action where necessary. We may access and disclose information to comply with law or protect rights and safety.

7) Reporting Abuse

Report AUP violations to abuse@mailopened.com with details and supporting evidence (headers, timestamps, URLs).

8) Changes

We may update this AUP from time to time. Continued use after the effective date indicates acceptance.
